Restaurant Manager New Opening - Stellenbosch

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and service-driven Restaurant Manager to oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations at a busy, high-end wine estate restaurant. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated service team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational efficiency and upholding the highest service standards. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily front-of-house operations , ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery Manage, lead, and motivate the FOH team , driving a culture of excellence and professionalism Handle guest relations proactively, addressing queries, feedback, and complaints promptly Support the coordination of events, functions, and private bookings to ensure seamless execution Work closely with the management team to implement service standards, SOPs, and brand guidelines Monitor floor activity and ensure tables are turned efficiently while maintaining a premium guest experience Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory checks for FOH supplies Conduct daily pre-service briefings and training sessions to enhance team performance Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to deliver an exceptional, integrated guest experience Requirements Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory or floor management role Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and inspire teams Excellent guest relations and communication skills Solid understanding of restaurant operations, events, and service standards Highly organised with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure during peak service periods Experience with POS systems and basic financial controls advantageous Must be well-presented, professional, and passionate about hospitality
