This luxury 5 star hotel has recently relaunched their signature restaurant offering trend setting cuisine matched with the regions best signature wines. The food style is distinctly unique to South Africa yet offers eclectic flavours of Asia, Europe, the far East and India. We are in search of a Skilled, Creative and Dedicated SOUS CHEF to lead and support in developing a strong team. Our overseas trained and experienced head chef has returned to South Africa and now presents this extraordinary gourmet experience for local visitors and in-house Private Villa guests. Essential Criteria: Recognised 1 or 2 years FULL-TIME Cheffing Qualification. Minimum 3 years experience within a strict fine dining team at a similar sous chef level. Must be a collaborative and team-focused individual with strong leadership skills. Ability to engineer and create daily changing dishes. Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills Must be PASSIONATE about food, know your basics, display a positive attitude and truly excited about your cheffing career and goals. Demonstrate strengths in food costing, stock controls and waste management Efficient and & computer skills as well as a working knowledge of Point of Sale systems Experience in managing staff, handling HR issues, disciplinaries etc
