Sommeliers Job Description Job Title: Sommeliers Location: South Africa, KwaZulu Natal, KwaZulu Natal Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Travel, Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality Job Duties: Utilise hosting skills to provide exceptional customer service Conduct stocktakes and manage inventory effectively Provide training and mentoring to staff on wine knowledge and service Expertise in wine pairing to enhance the dining experience Required Qualifications: Proven experience working as a sommelier Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of wine varieties and regions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Education: Relevant qualifications related to the feild of expertise Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of wine production and tasting techniques Ability to recommend and describe wines to customers Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Advanced certification from a recognised wine institution Experience in conducting wine tastings and events Working Conditions: The working cycle will be discussed with the employer, but it is a bush based role so you will be mostly likely work a 6week on 2 week off type of cycle.
