Food & Beverage Operations Manager

A renowned wine estate in Stellenbosch is seeking an experienced professional to join its Food & Beverage Operations team. The estate offers a dynamic environment where excellence in service, food, and wine culture are central to the guest experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of all F&B outlets including restaurant, tasting room, bar, and events Ensure consistent adherence to service standards across the estate Supervise and manage staff rosters, attendance, and daily briefings Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate team members to maintain a culture of service excellence Monitor quality of food, beverages, and presentation standards Manage stock levels, conduct regular stock takes, and oversee ordering and supplier relations Collaborate with kitchen and events departments to ensure smooth coordination of functions and special events Monitor hygiene, health, and safety standards across all service areas Handle guest feedback, complaints, and requests promptly and effectively Implement strategies to drive sales and enhance guest satisfaction Prepare and analyse financial reports including revenue forecasts, cost control, and budget planning Support in menu design, promotions, and seasonal updates Requirements: Proven experience in a F&B management role within a hospitality or wine estate environment Strong leadership and people management skills In-depth understanding of food, wine, and beverage service standards Good financial acumen and experience in budgeting and stock control Ability to manage pressure and maintain service excellence during high-volume operations Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays To apply, please upload a copy of your updated CV and recent profile photo along with any written or telephonic reference.
