Pastry Chef / Baker | Luxury Estate | Franschhoek Salary: R16,500 – R20,000 (Negotiable, DOE) Location: Franschhoek | Western Cape Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef / Baker for a prestigious luxury estate situated in the heart of Franschhoek. This is an exceptional opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented culinary professional who takes pride in crafting high-quality pastries, breads, and baked goods within a refined hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare a wide range of pastries, breads, desserts, and baked items to the highest standard Assist in the design and development of dessert menus and bakery offerings Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all baked items Manage baking schedules to ensure timely preparation and delivery ⏰ Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry and baking section Oversee stock control and assist in ordering baking supplies as needed Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to align with overall culinary goals ‍ Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar pastry or baking role within a luxury environment Formal culinary or patisserie training preferred Strong technical skills in baking and dessert preparation Creative flair with a keen eye for detail and presentation Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-end culinary experience in a renowned estate setting.
