Job Description
Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Sous Chef Luxury lodge- Madikwe Game Reserve Requirements · Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef in a 5-star hospitality environment · Formal culinary qualifications · Experience managing stock, processing invoices, and reconciling inventory · Strong leadership and training abilities · Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills · Passion for delivering outstanding culinary experiences · Flexibility to adapt to the unique demands of a remote lodge setting · Passionate about food, people, and conservation · Calm, creative, and solutions-oriented · Comfortable living and working in a remote, team-based environment Responsibilities · Assist in menu planning and execution, incorporating local ingredients and international standards · Prepare and present meals for à la carte, buffet, and bush dining experiences · Maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene · Innovate seasonal specials and cater to dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, gluten-free) · Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier quality checks · Maintain kitchen equipment and infrastructure · Train, mentor, and supervise student intern chefs and kitchen staff Package · Between R16- 22 000 per month · Accommodation provided on-site. Uniform and food for all meals is also provided. · Additional Company Benefits Start Date : ASAP
