Job Description
ProStaffSelect are in search of a skilled HEAD CHEF to take on duties for daily kitchen operations and to ensure the smooth running of this very busy kitchen and 64-seater restaurant. REQUIREMENTS: 5 - 6 YEARS head chef or exec sous chef experience within busy restaurant operations Creative Menu Design experience with a PASSION for DAILY CHANGING MENUS Experience with Food and Wine Pairing and Artisan Culinary Skills Temperament for Developing and Training younger chefs Strong directing and control skills with staff & managing teams Proven abilities in menu costing, utilisation of ingredients, stock and wastage controls Strong Leadership, Planning, Organisational and Management abilities Excellent Computer Proficiency on MS Excel & Word as well as Back of House / Inventory Systems Excellent Guest Relations Skills and comfortable in dealing with customers directly Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Afrikaans Creative problem-solving skills Own transport essential
