Job Title: School Cook Location: Tower Hamlets About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Cook to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing healthy, nutritious, and balanced meals for pupils and staff, ensuring that all food is cooked to a high standard and complies with dietary and allergy requirements. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook daily meals for pupils and staff Ensure menus meet school food standards and dietary guidelines Manage food supplies, stock rotation, and ordering Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations Supervise and support kitchen assistants (if applicable) Requirements Previous experience working as a cook/chef (school or catering experience desirable) Knowledge of nutrition, portion control, and allergen management Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Friendly, reliable, and committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of children What We Offer Term-time working hours (great work-life balance) Supportive school environment and team Training and professional development opportunities Competitive pay
