Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Plattsburgh, NY 12901 (New York nursing jobs) Assignment Length: 16 weeks (potential extension up to 32 weeks) Start Date: December 1, 2025 Shift: 12-hour nights Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100-$2250 Setting: Resource Pool – Float between Med/Surg Telemetry units (Oncology, Ortho, Urology) and Emergency Department Hold Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Day/Eve) Documentation System: EPIC Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York RN license (or proof of application with applied date) Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience Current AHA BLS certification (required) NIH Stroke Scale certification (required prior to start) EPIC experience within the past 2 years (required) CMSRN certification preferred Ability to float between medical-surgical and telemetry units as scheduled Reliable personal or rental transportation (public transportation not accessible) Key RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients (ages 25-99) across Med/Surg Telemetry and ED Hold units Float between Oncology, Orthopedics, Urology, and other telemetry units as needed Perform unit-specific procedures: IV starts, bladder scans, blood draws from central lines, glucose monitoring Collaborate with CNAs, PCTs, and unit clerks to ensure high-quality patient care Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR Maintain compliance with hospital policies, dress code (navy blue & white scrubs), and infection control standards Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training Experience the best of Plattsburgh, NY—enjoy Lake Champlain, beautiful parks, and a vibrant local community while advancing your nursing career.
