Junior Architect / Design Manager

Position: Junior Architect / Design Manager Location: San Jose del Cabo, BCS, Mexico Type: Full-time (Office Based) About Rockwater Homes Rockwater Homes is an owner’s representative firm specialising in the design and delivery of ultra-luxury residences and hospitality projects across Baja California Sur. We work with world-class architects, interior designers, and contractors to create legacy-quality residences. Role Overview We are seeking a Junior Architect / Design Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a highly organised and detail-oriented designer with a passion for architecture, interiors, and construction in the high-end residential and hospitality sectors. This role offers exposure to all stages of project development - from early concept and design coordination through documentation, permitting, procurement, and construction administration. Key Responsibilities Support the Project Managers in coordinating architectural and interior design teams Review drawings and design packages to ensure alignment with client briefs, DRC guidelines, and Rockwater standards Prepare area schedules Manage consultant communication, track deliverables, and maintain drawing and document control Set up & manage Procore Prepare regular client update / preconstruction reports Assist Project Managers with site coordination, RFIs, and design clarifications during construction Contribute to value engineering and procurement processes by reviewing specifications and materials Help maintain design quality across multiple projects and ensure that the design intent is carried through execution Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field 2–4 years of professional experience in architecture or design management Experience in luxury residential or hospitality projects preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Spanish Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment Passion for high-quality design & details Why Join Us Rockwater offers the opportunity to work on landmark projects alongside globally recognised design teams, within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
