Senior Catering Manager - Johannesburg and Pretoria We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Catering Manager to join our team. This role requires a leader with a keen eye for culinary detail and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional food and service. Key Responsibilities Support the daily operations of the catering unit, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality meals and services. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service for meals, functions, and resale items. Demonstrate a strong culinary sense, with the ability to assess food quality, presentation, and taste. Plan and cost menus in line with budgetary guidelines and company standards. Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks and financial reporting. Manage cash-up procedures and ensure compliance with banking protocols. Maintain up-to-date staff records in accordance with company and legal requirements. Recruit, train, and schedule catering staff, while fostering growth in service techniques, menu presentation, and operational procedures. Lead menu development and costing, and contribute to marketing initiatives for the catering department. Uphold hygiene and food safety standards in line with company and statutory regulations. Implement effective security measures across all areas of responsibility. Support staff through onboarding, performance monitoring, coaching, and ongoing training. Requirements Proven experience in catering or hospitality management, preferably in a senior role. Strong culinary insight and attention to detail in food quality and presentation. Excellent leadership, organizational, and financial management skills. Knowledge of food safety regulations and catering operations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
