Job Description

People & Culture Manager Scope of Position As a key member of the Executive Committee , the People & Culture Manager oversees all HR operations across the hotel’s entities and supports the implementation of strategies that position the company as an Employer of Choice . The role focuses on employee engagement, compliance, and fostering a positive, high-performance culture. Key Responsibilities • Lead daily People & Culture operations in line with South African Labour Law and company policies. • Drive employee engagement, productivity, and wellbeing through effective leadership and training. • Partner with department heads to align HR practices with operational goals. • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. • Support leaders in implementing Employee Engagement Survey action plans. • Manage employee recognition, wellness, and social initiatives. • Maintain accurate HR policies, systems, and audit compliance. • Promote a culture of trust, communication, and collaboration aligned with company values. • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Wellbeing standards. Qualifications & Experience • Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or related field. • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR leadership role, ideally within hospitality or service industries. • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices. • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
