Culinary Manager

Cork & Pig Tavern, a distinguished culinary gem renowned for its expertly crafted cuisine and uniquely inspired selection of wines, beers, and cocktails, seeks a passionate and experienced Culinary Manager to lead our kitchen team. As the Culinary Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene that our customers expect, while fostering a positive, creative, and efficient work environment for our staff. Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage and mentor kitchen staff, including chefs and support crew, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning. Plan and execute menus that align with the restaurant's culinary direction, including sourcing, cost analysis, and introduction of new dishes. Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular ingredient and supply orders while managing budget constraints. Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Lead quality control efforts, routinely inspecting meal preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and resolve any issues swiftly. Organize staff schedules, evaluations, and hiring, ensuring the kitchen operates with optimal staffing at all times. Stay updated with current culinary trends and techniques and incorporate them into offerings where appropriate. Strong leadership and communication skills Expertise in menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management Proficiency in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make decisions quickly Adept in training and motivating staff to achieve performance and quality standards Exceptional time management and organizational skills
