Job Description
Job Responsibilities Design Team Management Serve as the central point of contact between the VP of ID and the DPM-ID team to ensure alignment on project milestones, deliverables, and priorities. Manage and maintain project trackers, milestone dashboards, and reporting tools to support decision‑making and resource planning. Serve as the central point of contact between the Contracts & Procurement team and Project Design Leads, ensuring design‑specific needs are accurately reflected in contractual documentation. Assist in crafting and reviewing Interior Design scopes of services, technical deliverables, and design briefs, with a focus on strategic alignment and long‑term project success. Provide design‑informed feedback on contract deliverables and help negotiate contractual exceptions and project‑specific nuances that may impact design execution. Support consultant resourcing efforts, including manhour planning, scope alignment, and resource forecasting, ensuring external teams are appropriately scaled and briefed for each phase of work. Help identify gaps in consultant deliverables or scope coverage, proactively flagging risks and opportunities to the VP and project leads. Support team travel planning, onboarding, and hiring coordination in collaboration with HR and department leads. Facilitate studio‑wide communication and collaboration, ensuring clarity and consistency across all levels. Help identify and resolve procedural bottlenecks, enabling the team to focus on design delivery. Direct and guide a team of design managers to ensure the team is on track. Direct design teams and define team resources to ensure successful implementation of design excellence within an operating environment. Ensure stringent compliance to company policies and procedures and statutory requirements. Develop a strong culture of integrity, teamwork, passion, creativity, respect, and strong project delivery. Project Delivery Monitor progress across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met. Consolidate and interpret project data to support strategic planning and reporting. Assist in reconciling design scopes and phases across new builds and renovations. Supervise design team members to manage design consultants and contractor appointments. Draft, review and oversee design briefs, technical briefs and technical deliverables. Direct deliverables from the Consultants with respect to brief and company guidelines. Direct and provide direction on design submissions from consultants. Monitor and report on progress of interior design work on projects, and identify opportunities and challenges. Direct the review of all contractor material and sample submissions and shop drawings. Monitor quality of off and on‑site fabrication from an design perspective. Liaise with the project team with respect to cost and time constraints and solutions. Work in coordination with Capital Planning, Sourcing and Procurement, to manage the selection, sourcing, procurement and installation of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E). Work in coordination with Sourcing and Procurement to review and comment on design consultant scope and fee. Stakeholder Engagement Coordinate internal presentations, design reviews, and reporting materials for executive stakeholders. Liaise with stakeholders to develop and align scope‑of‑work briefs and design visions with the ambitions of the projects. Advise internal stakeholders on interior design aspects, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, and design schemes. Obtain approvals of design milestones from key internal and corporate stakeholders. Coordinate with internal support teams (Finance, Sourcing and Procurement, Operations, etc.) to drive design excellence across property. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education 4‑year degree from an accredited interior design or architecture program Experience 15 years global experience with proven track record in handling luxury resort projects or large‑scale mixed‑use developments at major consultancy firms and developers Experience and knowledge of all aspects of Integrated Resort design, including space planning, interior design, FF&E, materials; Extensive experience implementing design processes, including driving current consultants’ practices, scope and abilities; Experience with managing teams and complex projects, including design team organizational structures and resources Experience with broad, complex teams delivering projects for large‑scale commercial buildings Experience in large‑scale Integrated Resorts and/or Regulated Casino Environments is preferred, but not critical Key Competencies Ability to convey subject matter expertise in design Strong leadership skills in communication, strategic planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement Strong interpersonal skills to relate well with all project‑related functions, consultants and contractors Complex problem solving and creative solution skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines A collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Outstanding executive presence and senior stakeholder management communication skills. Use of Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Photoshop and basic Autocad Robust overall knowledge of delivering within Hospitality and in particular regulated Gaming operations.
