Mainframe Panvalet and ChangeMan Specialist Join to apply for the Mainframe Panvalet and ChangeMan Specialist role at Kyndryl Overview Kyndryl is seeking a Mainframe Panvalet & ChangeMan Specialist with deep technical expertise in z/OS environments, JCL, Panvalet source code libraries, and ChangeMan ZMF package management. This role is critical to ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable software delivery across mainframe systems. Responsibilities Manage and maintain Panvalet libraries for source code, JCL, macros, and copybooks. Administer ChangeMan ZMF packages across environments (DEV → TEST → QA → PROD). Perform impact analysis, troubleshoot promotion failures, and ensure compliance with audit requirements. Automate SCM tasks using REXX, CLIST, and JCL scripting. Collaborate with developers, operations, and governance teams to ensure smooth software delivery. Document SCM processes and provide training to ensure consistent practices. Required Skills and Experience Experience in similar roles within mainframe environments. Strong knowledge of z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, datasets (PS, PDS, VSAM). Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) for batch jobs and utilities. Familiarity with COBOL, PL/I, Assembler, Easytrieve (to support and migrate source code). Experience with mainframe scheduling tools (Control-M, CA-7, etc.). Panvalet (CA Panvalet) Expertise in managing Panvalet libraries; version control and member management. Using Panvalet utilities for maintenance and automation. ChangeMan ZMF (Serena ChangeMan) Hands-on experience with package lifecycle management. Impact analysis, audit compliance, and troubleshooting. Automation & Scripting: REXX and CLIST scripting. JCL automation and dataset utilities (SORT, IDCAMS, IEBGENER, IEBCOPY). Soft Skills Strong analytical and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to document and train on SCM practices. Preferred Skills and Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Certifications in ITIL, Six Sigma, or PMP. Experience in staff augmentation or application services projects. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
