Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead digital Hardware Design Engineer to join a department working on advanced high-speed electronics systems. This role performs the duties of the Digital Hardware Design Engineer, reporting to the senior Technical Lead/Architect and supports the development of MPSoC FPGA-based and AI acceleration hardware solutions across complex signal processing and sensor applications. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop high-speed digital hardware solutions, integrating MPSoC FPGAs, DDR, Flash memory, and high-speed serial interfaces Support the Technical Lead/Architect in defining elegant, optimised hardware architectures Lead and coordinate electronics design activities across multi-disciplinary teams including systems, software, firmware, mechanical, and production Conduct board-level SI (Signal Integrity) and PI (Power Integrity) analysis Specify and document designs to a high professional standard Support board-level test and debug using VHDL and programming languages such as C, C++ or Python Ensure designs meet customer requirements and are delivered successfully across the product lifecycle The ideal candidate would have: Strong experience in high-speed digital hardware design Familiarity with MPSoC FPGA systems and high-speed memory integration Understanding of digital signal processing concepts for SDR, radar, and optical sensors Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop system-level hardware solutions Excellent documentation and configuration management skills The ideal candidate must have: Hands-on experience in complex high-speed digital design Proficiency in VHDL for board-level test and debug Proficiency in C, C++, or Python for supporting hardware testing Experience with SI/PI analysis Strong academic or technical background to support this intellectually demanding role A strong desire to drive collaboration and ensure successful project delivery This position offers a lucrative benefits package, which includes but is not inclusive of: Bonus scheme (based on company performance) Annual pay reviews and promotion reviews (based on personal performance) Overtime paid at an enhanced rate Flexi-Leave (of up to 15 days) Pension scheme (total contribution of up to 14%) Subsidised site facilities and restaurants Free parking Excellent career progression and training / career development opportunities If this role looks like your next challenge, please contact Keelan ASAP or apply via this advert!
