Job Description
OverviewHeartland is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to drive revenue growth by acquiring net new business and building a smaller team of sales professionals. You will use a consultative approach with local leadership to set appointments with business owners for Payroll/HCM solutions, through phone, face-to-face, your network, and referral partnerships. You will run scheduled appointments, uncover needs, and present Heartland solutions to close sales in target vertical markets such as restaurants, retail, medical, manufacturing, lodging, auto repair, salons, and more.ResponsibilitiesCrush sales presentations with enthusiasm and finesseUse Atlas CRM on your iPad or tablet to show clients why we are the preferred partnerEducate business owners and referral partners on Payroll/HCM solutionsMaintain communication with the Territory/Division ManagerTrain and coach sales reps under you to achieve their sales goalsSupport sales reps in the field on all aspects of the proven sales playbookScout for talent and interview like a Hollywood casting directorNetwork locally to find sales reps that fit the teamDemonstrate prospecting, resourcefulness, communication, presentation, and networking skillsCollaborate with colleagues and work independently when neededMaintain a professional demeanor with integrity and a high sense of urgencyThrive on cold-calling and face-to-face conversationsClose sales with a proven track record of pipeline developmentBe part of a business or merchant association or networking group (a plus)Possess bilingual skills (a plus) to support diversity and inclusivityThis is a work-from-home field sales leadership role; you can sell wherever business takes you (bring your iPad and Atlas)Minimum Qualifications18 years of age or olderValid Driver's LicenseSuccessful completion of pre-employment background checkCompletion of mandatory drug screening around day 60 of employmentMust live in the area relative to the job posting locationCompensation & BenefitsCompensation is performance-based with aggressive weekly commissions, residuals, and portfolio ownership upon meeting targets. A first-year professional may expect an average of $90,000 - $105,000 in uncapped weekly commissions if in the top 25%.
