Job Description

Duties: Own and be responsible for the brand and the Foundation: performance, strategy, creative, outputs and reporting. Ensuring quality and consistency of all outputs Creating and managing a budget, in collaboration with the Marketing Director Implementation of agreed upon and devised strategy on a twofold approach: Conservation, community, ecological sustainability and upliftment Commercial (for-profit) division that is inclusive of safari camps and lodges Drive revenue generation for the brand, opening up new channels for growth Providing linkage between Brand and Foundation with Foundation inspiring content for brand communications Consolidating all marketing activities into a unified approach both B2B and B2C Management of Sales & Marketing integrated system Ensuring a consistent brand identity across all touch points Drive brand and Foundation outputs with the internal team (Head of Content, Head of Digital) and agency partners Creating briefs and briefing teams Delivering on brand positioning Delighting luxury high end consumers Seeing projects from inception through to execution Collaborate closely with the brand to deliver the Connected Adventure portfolio strategy Driving database growth with consistent communication strategy Identify trends and incorporate responses and action plans that will allow the brand to remain competitive and pioneering Working with the Head of Digital to drive the application and implementation of traditional marketing elements Digital marketing Marketing contributions and management Working with the marketing team for digital review of all electronic resources and platforms including Wetu, fact sheets, maps, infographics etc Print media development and implementation and correction Drive quality design Requirements: Grade 12 Degree/Diploma in Marketing and/or Marketing Communications and/or Brand Management Minimum 10 years working experience Experience in Luxury Hospitality Experience in Conservation (advantageous) Passion for philanthropy Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing Ability to be strategic and have creative judgement Ability to derive analytical insights and actions from marketing metrics Strong project management skills An advanced level of computer literacy with special focus on use of marketing systems, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Informed decision-making ability imperative Ownership and responsibility to drive all brand and Foundation related matters An excellent knowledge and understanding of the luxury sector and the calibre of clientele that are targeted A sound ability to both strategize, and execution is key Commercial focus to drive revenue generation Have an in depth understanding of marketing, communications and brand strategy Fully literate and numerate with the ability to perform relevant calculations, statistics, and be able to interpret basic accounts and financial statements and reports Ability to focus and prioritize Ability to effectively listen, collaborate, communicate and perform diplomatically with internal and external stakeholders, guests and staff in all situations Humble, yet driven with a track record of performance Team player who demonstrates the ability to build and develop successful team The ability to work through periods of high demand and ready to work on weekends Ability to work in a fast-paced environment A passion for the industry, have a positive attitude and the ability to think out of the box Assertiveness, patience and good organizational skills A meticulous degree of pride in their personal presentation A highly self-motivated self-starter Ability to work independently as well as within a group
