A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist Job Details: • Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 schedule) • 36 guaranteed hours per week • No weekend requirements (except Sunday December 21st to allow for 4-day Christmas weekend) • No on-call requirements • 2 years of experience required • Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, VA License (or pending status) • VA Temporary License acceptable with pending VA License • Work with Varian Truebeam and Phillips Big Bore CT Scanner equipment • Use EPIC EMR system • Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs or any solid colors that match top and bottom • Provide daily care of cancer patients including accurate interpretation and delivery of radiation treatments • Perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students • Assist in Brachytherapy procedures and treatment planning procedures • Check prescriptions, schedule patients, explain procedures, and maintain communication with medical team • Prepare room and equipment according to prescriptions, take and process images • Maintain visual and audible contact with patients during treatments • Observe radiation safety measures and document treatment doses accurately • Make proper immobilization devices for 2-D, 3-D, and IMRT patients Facility: This medical center features a comprehensive Therapeutic Radiology department equipped with state-of-the-art radiation therapy technology.
