Responsibilities Position is in the NICU of a short term acute care hospital Level 3 or 4 NICU patient acuity with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 Both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) 12-hour shifts available Weekend shifts are required on a variable and rotating basis On-call standby is required when not needed on the unit Epic EMR experience is required No required floating between units within the same hospital, but floating to affiliate facilities is expected Must have a reliable vehicle for travel between potential facilities Travelers must be willing to float to affiliated facilities as needed First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply Must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day) All travelers are expected to be flexible with floating or assignment changes Any color scrubs are acceptable Parking is available at no cost Pre-assignment and annual online module training is required Additional incentives and mileage reimbursement are provided when floating to designated affiliate sites Hotel accommodations may be provided for consecutive shifts at certain affiliate locations Requirements Active Oregon RN license required, or proof of pending licensure Minimum of 1 year Level 3 or 4 NICU nursing experience Current BLS and any other required certifications for NICU Epic charting experience required Two supervisory references from the last three years in a comparable specialty are needed for consideration Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel eligibility Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620592.
