Lead Caregiver

Job Description Job Description Job Summary Attends to children at a licensed in-home childcare facility. General Accountabilities Creates developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Reads to children and teaches them painting, drawing, crafts and songs. Maintains a safe, clean play environment. Dresses children and changes diapers. Observes and monitors children’s play activities. Disciplines children in a positive way and recommends or initiates other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books. Communicates with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues. Sanitizes toys and play equipment. Performs general administrative tasks, such as taking attendance, reporting and making phone calls. Organizes and participates in recreational activities and outings, such as field trips. Job Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience Skills Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) Excellent verbal and written communication Instructing Monitoring Social perceptiveness
