Rehabilitation Assistant | Long-term Care

Position Summary Gillis House, located in Merritt, B.C., is looking to hire a Rehabilitation Assistant to join it rehabilitation team on a casual basis. Days of work are Mondays to Fridays; 08:00 to 16:00. Rehabilitation assistants play a vital role in helping residents maintain and improve their mobility, independence, and overall well-being. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team-including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and care aides-you’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills in a supportive environment that values teamwork, learning, and resident-centered care. In this role, a Rehabilitation Assistant: - Is empowered to operate at the top of their scope. - Engages patients through consistent therapeutic interventions. - Drives substantial progress in meeting patient needs and their rehab journey. - Serves as an integral member of the rehabilitation team. - Is relied upon as the eyes and ears of the rehab team, ensuring comprehensive care. Qualfications Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid Class 5 Vehicle License if applicable.
