Freelance Design Manager | High-End Residential | Knightsbridge (Hans Place) Start: Early November | Duration: Mid 2026 I'm working exclusively with a high-end residential contractor on a luxury townhouse conversion at 51-52 Hans Place, Knightsbridge - a £22m scheme delivering seven bespoke apartments finished to an exceptional standard. They're now looking for an experienced Design Manager to join the team, providing design coordination through the final stages of delivery. The Role • Oversee and coordinate subcontractor design packages following completion of Stage 4 • Liaise closely with the Technical Director and site team to ensure design intent is maintained • Manage approvals, RFI tracking, and interface between design and construction • Review joinery, stonework, MEP coordination, and bespoke FF&E details • Maintain design programme and ensure timely sign-off of key packages • Based on site in Knightsbridge with flexibility for some WFH The Project • Two adjoining townhouses redeveloped into seven high-end apartments •£22m contract value • Mixture of duplex and lateral layouts, each individually detailed but following a consistent design theme • High-spec finishes: stone, joinery, bespoke furniture, and modern detailing throughout • Completion due Mid 2026 Requirements • Proven design management experience in prime residential or boutique hotel projects • Strong technical knowledge of high-end fit-out and bespoke detailing • Comfortable leading subcontractor design coordination and approvals independently If you're a freelance Design Manager with relevant luxury residential experience and availability from early November, get in touch to discuss.
