Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Hotel Construction Project Location: London Contract Type: Freelance Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Day Rate: £300 About the Role: We are seeking a Freelance Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a hotel construction project in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic project team delivering a landmark build, working closely with the lead Quantity Surveyor and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, cost plans, and financial reports * Support procurement processes, including tender analysis and subcontractor appointments * Monitor variations and valuations, and assist with interim and final account preparations * Contribute to contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations * Attend site meetings and liaise with site and design teams as required * Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle Requirements: * Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role (hotel or high-end residential experience preferred) * Proficient in MS Excel; experience with cost management software beneficial * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Approach Personnel Ltd that is operating as an employment business.
