Travel Nursing Job Details Location: Durham, NC 27710 (North Carolina healthcare jobs) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: December 1, 2025 End Date: March 2, 2026 Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780-$1910 Setting: Emergency Department (ED), Internal Staffing Resource Pool Patient Ratio: 1:4 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: May float to ED observation unit Scrubs: Royal Blue Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions) Orientation: Bi-weekly Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Active North Carolina or Compact Registered Nurse license Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI Experience with Epic charting system Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred 1 supervisory reference within the last year Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:4 First-time travel nurses welcome! Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department Respond to acute medical emergencies: chest pain, trauma, stroke, and psychiatric crises Perform advanced clinical procedures: arterial line management, central line care, chest tube insertion/management, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation Administer emergency medications and blood products Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, interpretation services) Float to ED observation unit as needed Maintain accurate documentation using Epic charting system Follow infection control and isolation precautions Support patients and families during critical situations Ready to make a difference in Durham's healthcare community?
