Travel ER RN Job Details Location: Durham, NC 27710 Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Unit: Emergency Department (ED), Internal Staffing Resource Pool Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week Duration: 13-week contract (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026) Patient Ratio: 1:4 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: May float to ED observation unit Scrubs: Royal Blue Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780-$1910 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI Experience with Epic charting system Trauma Level II experience required; Level I experience preferred TNCC certification preferred Ability to provide emergency nursing care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics One supervisory reference from the past year required Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a 75-bed ED Manage patient ratios of 1:4, including acute and critical cases Perform advanced clinical skills: arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, IV sedation, and more Respond to trauma, neuro-trauma, and orthopedic emergencies Administer emergency medications and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services Float to ED observation unit as needed Follow all infection control and safety protocols, including mandatory flu vaccination Take your nursing career to the next level with this travel ER RN job in Durham, North Carolina.
