Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910 per week (estimated) ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type: Travel nursing job Location: Durham, NC 27710 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Unit: Emergency Department (ED) Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026) Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 1:4 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: May float to ED observation unit Scrubs: Royal Blue Orientation: Bi-weekly Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions) Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Active NC or Compact Registered Nurse license Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI Experience with Epic charting system Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred Supervisory reference from the last year Flu vaccine required (no exemptions or declinations accepted) ER RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics Manage patient ratios of 1:4 in a busy Emergency Department Perform acute interventions: arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube insertion, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, CPAP/BiPAP Respond to trauma cases including neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, and traumatic brain injury Administer emergency medications and manage multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias, manage STEMI and stroke protocols Care for patients with acute psychosis, drug overdose, and violent behavior Float to ED observation unit as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your Emergency Room nursing career in Durham, North Carolina!
