Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details Location: Florence, AL 35630 (Alabama nursing jobs) Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Start Date: November 24, 2025 End Date: February 23, 2026 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days (6:30am – 3:00pm) Hours per Week: 40 hours plus call Weekend Hours: Call only Call Requirements: 7 days on, 7 days off Estimated Weekly Salary: $2210 - $2370 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Alabama or compact state) BLS certification (Basic Life Support) 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year of CVOR experience (Cardiac AND Vascular) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to individuals recovering from cardiac and vascular procedures Monitor and assess patient status, including diagnoses such as coronary artery disease (CAD), peripheral vascular disease (PVD), congestive heart failure (CHF), and valvular heart disease Operate specialized clinical equipment: heart/lung machine, cellsaver, Doppler, and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) Document patient care accurately using Meditech ORM electronic health record (EHR) system Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume cardiac stepdown environment with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Participate in scheduled on-call rotations Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Florence, Alabama!
