PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Location: Olathe, KS 66061 (Johnson County) Facility: 300-bed acute care hospital Start Date: November 16, 2025 End Date: February 15, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Coverage required for Christmas Eve/Day & New Year's Eve/Day On-Call: None Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,750 - $1,870 PCU RN Qualifications Active Kansas RN or Compact RN License required Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Critical Care, Progressive Care, or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing Proficient with CRRT, Bipap, drawing labs, chest tubes, and PICC lines Ability to independently perform consults and respond to codes (no vascular access team) Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications Willingness to float to ICU and all inpatient units (Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, Emergency Department) as needed Must not be a new graduate; prior travel nurse experience preferred Nicotine-free facility policy PCU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions Operate and manage CRRT, Bipap, and other advanced clinical equipment Draw labs, manage chest tubes and PICC lines, and respond independently to codes Float to various inpatient units as needed, adapting to diverse patient populations Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document care and interventions in EPIC EMR Participate in required orientation and ongoing clinical training Ready to join a top healthcare team and experience the best of Kansas nursing jobs in Olathe?
