For more information about us, visit www.buildit.ca . Position Overview This is a full-time on-site role for a Skilled Labourer . This role involves working on projects at various locations, such as Jasper, Banff, and other sites across Alberta, requiring travel as needed . This role involves physical labour, including site preparation, loading/unloading materials, operating hand and power tools, and assisting in various construction tasks. The Skilled Labourer will work closely with the Site Supervisor and other trades to help ensure timely project completion with the highest quality standards. Hands-on experience with framing, drywall installation, flooring, tiles, carpentry, and finishing. Knowledgeable in construction safety protocols and experienced in identifying potential hazards. Don't mind swinging a hammer or working the drill. Take responsibility for your success and failure. Believe in delivering excellence. Find solutions to problems that stop others from forging ahead. Good to have: prior experience working on historical building renovations or luxury hotel properties (e.g., 5-star hotels) A forward thinker who takes responsibility, overcomes obstacles with resilience, and is deeply committed to quality workmanship Key Responsibilities Prep construction sites by cleaning and removing obstacles or hazards. Load and unload construction materials and ensure they are efficiently moved to the required areas. Work alongside other trades and site supervisors to complete interior renovation tasks, such as framing, drywall, painting, and more. Assist with the erection of scaffolding, shoring, and braces. Waterproof surfaces and finish freshly poured concrete. Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing debris and securing tools. Respond to questions from site workers, subcontractors, and others by directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel, like the Site Supervisor or Project Manager. Safety And Compliance Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure all team members follow site safety practices Wear and enforce the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Report hazards or safety concerns promptly to the Site Supervisor Must have: Basic Health & Safety certifications as per Alberta construction requirements.
