Job Description Job Description Position Title: Activities Coordinator Location: Santa Ana, CA Schedule: Full Time / Hours between 8am & 4:30pm. Pay: $23 - $26 - Depending on Experience Job Type: Temporary Assignment Job Summary: The Activities Coordinator is responsible for actively participating in all care coordination activities including Assessments and Care Planning. The Activities Coordinator is responsible for utilizing variety of techniques including but not limited to arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings. The activity program shall also provide a planned schedule of social and other purposeful independent or group activities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing therapeutic activity program, to improve or maintain physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual functioning in order to facilitate full participation in life. Activities Coordinator may use remote technology depending on the participants’ comfort level, electronic devices, and interests. Required Skills and Abilities: 1. Excellent customer service and ability to interact with participants. 2. Team-player, enthusiastic and positive, polished, poised and professional 3. Excellent communication skills (written and oral); strong organizational skills. 4. Adaptable and able to work with the frailer elderly population with multiple cognitive deficits. 5. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member. 6. Flexible, ability to handle multiple tasks and meets deadlines. 7. Creative, imaginative in planning, coordinating, and directing activities. 8. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Zoom. 9. Patience and understanding of frail elderly Specifications / Experience: 1. High school diploma required; current college coursework preferred. 2. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly in a social or recreational program preferred. 3. Completion of the Activity Leader (previously “Activity Director”) course designed specifically for this position and approved by the State of California required prior or within 30 days of starting new role. 4. Current valid BLS Certifcation 5. Bilingual: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on location preferred.
