Employer Description Game Lodge Job Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to support their financial operations and contribute to their mission-driven environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting and is passionate about animal welfare. Key Responsibilities: Recording day-to-day financial transactions accurately and completely Checking invoices, quotes, and statements; uploading invoices for payment Processing bank statements and payroll transactions Matching invoices to payments in a timely manner Assisting with weekly payment preparations Supporting monthly bank, VAT, petty cash and supplier reconciliations Conducting physical stock counts and asset verifications Managing general financial administration, documentation, and filing Performing other reasonable tasks assigned by your direct line manager (including general admin and receiving deliveries) Qualifications Proven experience in the accounting field, at least 3-5 years in a senior role. Grade 12 and further qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting A valid driver’s license Skills Strong competence across all aspects of bookkeeping Proficiency in digital accounting platforms and Microsoft Office suite A collaborative spirit and ability to work well in a team Benefits Pension Fund (Compulsory) – 15% company contribution and 5% employee contribution Medical Aid (Optional) – 80% company contribution and 20% employee contribution. This only covers the cost for the employee. Any added dependents are at full cost to the employee.
