Job Description
Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Sous Chef Luxury Lodge - Limpopo Requirements • Matric • Minimum of 3-5 years previous Sous chef experience in a 5-star lodge/hotel • Food Hygiene and professional cooking qualification • Must be extremely creative and hardworking, and oversee the culinary operations of the lodge • Good knowledge of wines and pairing • Menu compilation and implementation, food preparation and kitchen management • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure • Ability to lead and train the kitchen team to produce menus and food items with attention to detail, and high standards of presentation whilst maintaining health and safety regulations • In depth understanding of food trends and have a passion for innovative cuisine • Ability to collaborate with other departments to create memorable dining experiences for a la carte guests, including special events, conferences and themed dinners • Knowledge of all dietary and religious requirements • Good knowledge and understanding of stock procedures and control • Good knowledge of planning, budgeting, and departmental administration • Must have a food profile Package on offer • R 18 000 – R 25 000 pm DOE • Live in Start date: ASAP
