Duty Manager

We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join our team at our Hotel in Richards Bay. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong attention to detail, excellent people skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Duty Management: Be interactive, visible, and proactive in all public areas, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Staff Supervision & Management: Oversee staff readiness, grooming, professional etiquette, and overall performance. F&B Outlet Readiness: Ensure all outlets are clean, well-stocked, functional, and consistently delivering a quality offering. Stock Controls: Manage and control OE, linen, beverages, and consumables. Financial Control: Monitor costs, implement controls, and assist in achieving departmental targets. Staff Training: Provide on-the-floor coaching, training, and supervision to maintain service standards. Interpersonal Relationships: Foster a culture of fairness, respect, discipline, and professionalism. Guest Satisfaction: Actively engage with guests on the floor to ensure exceptional service and memorable experiences. Health & Safety: Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with all legislative requirements. Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). A Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management will be an advantage. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
