Restaurant Reservataions & Reception - Stellenbosch Luxury 5* Hotel

ProStaffSelect are in search of a highly polished, outgoing and friendly RESTAURANT HOSTESS / RESERVATIONIST & RECEPTIONIST for this luxury five-star hotel. The primary focus of this position is to handle reservations through phone, email, and online platforms, greeting and seating guests, and handling inquiries and complaints . Other responsibilities involve coordinating with staff for smooth & efficient service, maintaining the reservation systems, and performing daily administrative duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reservation management Take and manage bookings: Accept reservations via phone, email, or online systems like DinePlan Update systems: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the reservation system. Handle modifications: Process cancellations, changes, and special requests for existing bookings. Coordinate with staff: Liaise with the kitchen and waitering staff to ensure smooth operations and manage table availability. Guest services Greet and seat guests: Welcome arriving guests and guide them to their tables. Handle inquiries: Answer questions about menu items, daily specials, and other services. Resolve issues: Address guest complaints, requests, and concerns professionally. Provide information: Offer assistance with special requests and provide information on local attractions. Administrative and operational tasks Maintain reception area: Keep the front desk and waiting area clean and organized. Perform clerical duties: Handle administrative tasks, including preparing reports and managing correspondence. Process payments: Collect and process payments from guests. Assist with other departments: Liaise with other teams, such as housekeeping, to ensure guest needs are met.
