Reservations And Revenue Manager - 4* Hotel Cape Town

A prominent 4* hotel in the V&A waterfront with over 200 bedrooms is looking to employ a dynamic reservations manager with revenue management experience with the following attributes. At least 3 years experience in a similar 4* or 5* Front Office position Opera or Infor “Individual and Group/Block Reservations” experience (Essential) Basic Computer skills (Windows literate) Excellent Administration Skills Excellent Telephonic Communication Skills Able to work under pressure Able to work shift work QUALIFICATIONS: Grade Apply Below Hotel School Diploma or National Qualification equivalent an advantage KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management of the department from all aspexts, from rosters, to ensuring policies and procedures are followed, ensure that o status is maintained and controlled effectivly. all reservations/bookings downloaded from Central Reservation Office, confirm and send correspondence where necessary To ensure that all banqueting & events reservations requests are entered or responded to quickly and accurately and confirmed accordingly within the company turnaround policy. Ensuring that reservation, events policies and procedures regarding payments, confirmations & terms and conditions are effectively adhered to, and in line with a 4 star Hotel. Ensuring and adhering to effective communication from the reservations / banqueting department to all operational departments. To ensure that deposit and contracts are received correctly, manage the room rate codes, ensure that revpar and yielding are correct at all times Working hours are Monday - Friday ( shift 8-5 and 9-6) and every second Saturday from 08h00 - 14h00.
