This is a hands-on role for someone with a passion for both fine dining and bush-style meals, who can lead a kitchen team with precision and flair. ✨ Requirements • Grade 12 Tertiary Culinary Diploma • 3 years as a Sous Chef at a 5 star Game Lodge • Exceptional eye for detail and creativity • Fine dining and bush meal experience • Strong stock control, ordering and budgeting skills • Knowledge of kitchen health & safety standards • Ability to lead the team in the Head Chef’s absence • Computer literate and IT savvy • Outgoing, flexible, neat and presentable ✨ Responsibilities • Support Head Chef with daily kitchen operations • Ensure hygienic work areas and consistent quality • Control food stock, costs and assist with monthly stocktakes • Prepare mise en place and food production in various kitchen sections • Stay up to date with culinary trends, recipes and preparation techniques • Work closely with service staff and management ✨ Package & Benefits • Negotiable monthly package based on experience and qualifications • Live in • Pension fund • Work cycle: 21 days on, 7 days off • Annual leave: 15 days
