Mechanical and Electrical Estimator Location: Northampton Contract: Permanent Smart City Recruiters are working with a client in the Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Sectors, working on installations within large scale residential, student accommodation and hotel projects. Our client is looking to recruit 2 experienced Mechanical Estimators to join their highly successful pre-contract team reporting to the Mechanical Estimating Manager. You would be responsible for the following: Production of detailed tender bids and cost plans Attending mid and post tender meetings Post tender control Interfacing with both our existing and prospective new clients Communication and interfacing with sub-contractor and supplier companies, using existing companies and generating new leads The position will involve the day-to-day management of the tender process to ensure standards are maintained and deadlines are met. Whilst mechanically biased, the position also demands a wide knowledge of electrical engineering services. You will need to demonstrate a broad knowledge of the industry and will have experience in a wide range of sectors, specifically including residential, hotel and student accommodation projects. This is a permanent, office-based position with strong career prospects.
