Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Electronics Technician to join a dynamic engineering department, providing hands-on support to Design Engineers in testing and fault-finding cutting-edge technology on a daily basis. This role performs the duties of a Graduate Electronics Technician and reports to the Senior Electronics Engineer. Key Responsibilities: Support Electronic Design Engineers in the testing, development, and manufacture of advanced electronic sub-systems including Missile Computers, Actuation Systems, Data Links, Telemetry Systems, and Seekers. Assist with prototype build, part preparation, wiring, and assembly activities. Conduct functional testing and data collection under supervision. Support fault-finding and diagnostic investigations across analogue, digital, and RF circuits. Help maintain accurate test records, component logs, and progress reports. Contribute to ongoing R&D and production support projects within the wider engineering function. The ideal candidate would have: Familiarity with basic electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and spectrum analysers. Understanding of component-level troubleshooting and circuit testing. Awareness of the design and development lifecycle for electronic products. Strong practical skills and an enthusiasm for hands-on engineering. Good written communication and record-keeping abilities. The ideal candidate must have: HNC or degree-level qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Solid understanding of core electronic principles and circuit behaviour. Eligibility to obtain relevant security clearance.
