Senior Associate – Defendant EL/PL Location: Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle (Flexible working) We are seeking a Senior Associate to join a leading national team specialising in complex liability and injury matters, with a focus on employers’ and public liability claims. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of challenging cases, collaborating with a team of highly experienced professionals. Role Overview: The successful candidate will: Handle a broad spectrum of claims, including high multi-track cases and catastrophic injuries. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver pragmatic solutions. Demonstrate a working knowledge of policy coverage. Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including insurers, loss adjusters, public sector bodies, and corporate clients. Work on both pre-litigation and litigated files across mixed-value claims, motor, EL/PL, defective premises, product liability, and more. Team & Environment: National practice with offices across the UK, consistently ranked in the top tier for defendant personal injury. Opportunity to work on high-profile, complex cases, including cross-border investigations. Ideal Candidate: UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with 5 years’ relevant experience. Litigation experience, including assisting on high multi-track defence work. Strong communication skills and the ability to develop client relationships. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
