As an IT Apprentice, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers, learning how to build, maintain, and support real-world networks and systems. Every day will bring new challenges, from setting up equipment and solving technical issues to learning about cybersecurity and network management. In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Accurately log and process customer support requests using the company's ITSM tool and follow agreed standards. Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails, ensuring clear and professional communication with customers. Monitor, update, and escalate support tickets as required, ensuring timely resolution and proactive follow-up. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking faults within defined parameters, escalating complex issues when necessary. Collaborate with 3rd line support teams or external vendors for incidents beyond 2nd line scope, such as Major/P1 incidents. Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, software, and mobile devices as part of ongoing support and maintenance. Assist with IT and network-related projects, contributing to planning, design, and implementation activities. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of support actions, resolutions, and technical procedures. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think logically when fixing computer or network issues. Basic understanding of computers, operating systems, and internet connections. Friendly and professional approach when helping others with IT problems. Able to manage time well, stay organised, and work independently when needed. Willingness to learn new skills, complete training, and gain IT qualifications. Works well in a team, shows initiative, and stays calm under pressure. Positive attitude with a desire to improve and develop in the IT field. Salary, Hours&Benefits: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum. 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification. Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you'll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT. You'll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team.
