Med/Surg RN Job Details Location: Mayfield, Kentucky 42066 (Western Kentucky nursing jobs) Unit: Medical/Surgical Unit (65 beds) Employment Type: Travel RN assignment Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026) Shift: 12-hour days (07:00–19:00), varied shifts Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Float Requirement: Possible float to similar medical/surgical units Electronic Health Record: Meditech Dress Code: Scrubs (any color; hoodies and non-approved wording not permitted) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state BLS certification (required prior to start) Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations Strong clinical skills and compassionate bedside manner Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with medical and surgical conditions (COPD, post-op joints, diabetes) Manage patient assignments up to 1:8 with Patient Care Assistant (PCA) support Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document care and interventions in Meditech EHR Participate in unit orientation and comply with hospital policies and procedures Maintain professionalism and compassion in all patient interactions Discover the charm of Mayfield, Kentucky, and join our healthcare team for this exceptional travel nursing opportunity.
