Hematologist/Oncologist, Assistant/Associate Professor, Internal Medicine, Hematology/Oncology (171351) Location: Stony Brook, New York Open Date: Oct 10, 2025 Deadline: Nov 15, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description Stony Brook University School of Medicine of the State University of New York invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the division of Hematology/Oncology. The division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine and the Stony Brook University Cancer Center in Stony Brook, NY is seeking a physician to participate in a clinical faculty practice and lead the development of clinical and translational research programs in Benign Hematology. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic physician with excellent communication and teaching skills. Organizational and leadership abilities are highly desirable. A strong role in the teaching and educational mission of the Division of Hematology/Oncology is expected. Stony Brook is located in suburban Suffolk County, Long Island, New York, offering excellent schools and wonderful recreational activities, including access to beaches, boating and the cultural wealth of New York City. The level of appointment will be dependent on credentials and experience. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MD (or foreign equivalent), Board Certified in Internal Medicine, BC/BE in Hematology. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Patient care experience and interest in leading the development of a clinical and translational research program in benign hematology.
