Job Details – Knoxville Nursing Jobs Location: Knoxville, TN 37923 Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026) Nursing Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month Orientation: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990–$2,130 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience Active Tennessee or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start date Experience with Cerner charting system preferred Previous travel nursing experience required Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Ability to float to Med/Surg units, telemetry, and senior psych as needed Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with general medical-surgical diagnoses Monitor and manage telemetry patients, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management Administer blood products, IVs, and medications per physician orders Perform feeding tube care, heparin administration, and post-myocardial infarction care Manage surgical drains, oxygen therapy, and peripheral/PICC line care Implement isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more Float to various hospital units as needed, following facility policies and completing orientation Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
