We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Lecturer in Construction! Please note this role is TTO, 29 Weeks per Year In this role, you will provide a world-class educational experience in our construction programs, using your expertise to inspire students and prepare them for successful careers or further studies. You will help shape the curriculum to meet local, regional, and national needs, positioning our courses as the top choice for construction students in China. While primarily based in China, there may be opportunities to teach at other centers. To comply with current immigration regulations, applicants must be under 60 years of age and hold at least a degree-level qualification in the relevant subject area. We can offer you: Paid Visa GBP6,900 uplift for the time out of the country - pro rata Accommodation at The Jing-Hu Hotel, Deyang - no cost Up to GBP 320 expenses paid per week Fully paid mobilisation and demobilisation flights with transport to and from the Airport in China 43 days annual leave Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS) The ability to achieve a *LAT Excellence Pay increment, currently £40,874 (*subject to eligibility criteria) Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. To provide extraordinary teaching across Construction related programmes including (but not limited to): a. Lincoln College Cost Engineering Joint Programme (Main delivery) b. Construction courses Level 3 - 5 c. Short courses in Project Management / Quantity Surveying 2. To act as Programme Coordinator for specific courses as required by the Lead for International Operations. 3. To maintain learning, assessment and teaching quality through critical self-reflection and collegial activity. 4. To help develop the curriculum and resources as part of a progressive team 5. To contribute to the student enrichment programme. 6. To promote the development of the Equal Opportunities Policy throughout all aspects of employment. 7. To develop and maintain quality standards appropriate to the post. 8. To maintain professional standards and expertise by undertaking relevant professional development. 9. To conform with the Health & Safety requirements to the post. 10. To be responsible for the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children wherever applicable within the role. N.B.
