Duty Manager - £16 per hour American Amusements Holdings Limited Who are we? American Amusements Holdings Limited (AAHL) is the parent company of three successful Superbowl branded Family Entertainment Centres operating in the South of England. Each centre offers a dynamic mix of leisure and entertainment activities including Tenpin Bowling, Laser Quest, American Pool and amusements, alongside a strong F&B offering. We are now recruiting for two Duty Managers to join our dynamic teams at Wokingham and Woking Superbowls – two busy, fast-paced family entertainment venues that pride themselves on delivering outstanding guest experiences. About The Role As Duty Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the action, helping to lead our front-of-house operations and ensuring our guests enjoy an unforgettable visit. From managing bookings and coordinating game sessions to leading the floor and bar teams, you’ll play a key role in welcoming customers, keeping service running smoothly and energy levels high. These are hands-on leadership roles that requires confidence, enthusiasm, and a passion for hospitality and giving great customer service. You’ll set the tone for a welcoming, social atmosphere, motivating your team to deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint. Location Wokingham and Woking Reports To Centre Manager Key Responsibilities…. · Lead by example in delivering warm, engaging, and professional service. · Supervise the team across all areas: bar, reception, reservations, Tenpin bowling and Laser Quest. · Oversee guest flow across the venue, ensuring bookings and sessions run seamlessly. · Support with setup and coordination, helping guests get started and ensuring everyone has a great time. · Act as the first point of contact for guest queries or issues, resolving them promptly and professionally. · Assist with training, motivating, and supporting new team members. · Learning new areas of a thriving business including licensing and maintenance. · Monitor POS transactions to ensure accurate handling of bookings, payments. · Maintain high venue standards, ensuring the venue is guest-ready, clean, and well-presented. · Support with opening and closing duties, cash handling, stock checks, and shift coordination. · Contribute to sales growth by driving up-selling opportunities and enhancing the overall guest experience. · Take responsibility for upholding company standards and ensuring full compliance with licensing, Health & Safety and operational policies. What we’re looking for…. · Previous experience in a hospitality or guest-facing supervisory or management role. · A confident, hands-on approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy customer environment. · First class communication and customer service skills, knowing how to make people feel welcome. · Experience of managing bookings, guest check-ins, and floor operations. · A natural leader who thrives in motivating and developing and training subordinates. · Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak trading times. · A genuine passion for hospitality, leisure, and creating memorable guest experiences Skills and Experience (desirable)…. · Previous experience in leisure, bowling, amusements or family entertainment venues. · Knowledge of EPoS and booking systems. · Personal Licence Holder. · First Aid Certification Holder.
