What the Role Involves As a Residential Support Worker, youll be a vital part of a team supporting young people who have experienced trauma. Your role will be dynamic, challenging, and deeply rewarding. About Attenborough House Attenborough House opened in May 2022, registered to provide care for looked after children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties aged between 12yrs 18yrs of mixed gender. The home is a 2-bedroom property situated in Nottinghamshire area, a short walk from Attenborough Nature reserve. Attenborough House has a small, friendly and welcoming staff team. As a home we encourage and promote independence and confidence in our young people through a loving, and nurturing environment. The staff team take on the role of therapeutic parenting to ensure the needs of the children and young people are met. Our young people enjoy: ?? Trips to the cinema ?? Visiting the zoo and attending the circus ?? Getting their nails done and going on day trips ?? Arts and crafts ? Sport and active hobbies ?? Ideal candidates will have: A strong, compassionate personality Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset Life experience from previous careers or personal challenges A desire to grow - full training and a funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare provided ??
