PCU RN Job Details – Florida Nursing Jobs Location: Vero Beach, FL 32960 (Florida healthcare jobs) Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (ICC) / Progressive Care Unit Contract Type: Travel nursing contract Start Date: December 9, 2025 End Date: March 10, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Estimated Weekly Salary: $1460-$1500 Float: May float to nearby hospitals within 20 miles Scrub Color: White Charting System: EPIC Parking: Free, unrestricted spaces Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 18 months of recent PCU nursing experience required; 2 years preferred ICU experience required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida nursing license or pending accepted) Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS (required at submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Epic charting experience (Level 3 or 4 proficiency) Proficient in cardiac drips management Nicotine-free (negative drug screen required) First-time travel nurses welcome COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) All requested time off must be submitted up front PCU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure Manage arterial and central lines Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Assist with BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilated patient care Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) Perform suctioning (ETT, NT) and maintain isolation precautions/PPE Float to other units/hospitals within scope as needed Complete time-sensitive modules and participate in EKG and Pharm testing during orientation Discover top travel nursing jobs in Florida and make a difference in patient care.
