Key Job Details – Med/Surg RN Travel Assignment Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 (Michigan nursing jobs) Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Overflow/Observation Unit Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026) Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (09:00 – 21:30) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1750-$1800 Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating: Float to other Med/Surg units as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications Active and valid Michigan RN license (Registered Nurse – Michigan) BLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience Prior travel nursing experience required Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted) Ability to work collaboratively with RNs, LPNs, Techs, and other healthcare professionals Professional references required Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in the Medical Surgical overflow and observation unit Efficiently admit and discharge patients, with a focus on continuous assessment for discharge readiness Maintain patient ratios typically 1:4-5, may increase to 1:7 with RN/LPN team Float to additional Med/Surg units as needed (typically once per week) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Work every other weekend and provide unit coverage as required Complete required orientation modules and annual training Take the next step in your nursing career with this exciting travel Med/Surg RN job in Battle Creek, Michigan.
