Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570-$1680 ER RN Job Details Location: Brooklyn, Maryland (21225) – Baltimore area Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Unit: Emergency Department (ED) Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/9/2025 – End: 3/10/2026) Patient Ratio: 1:4 Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holiday rotation Scrubs: Navy Blue (not provided) Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience in a high-volume ED (125 visits/day within the past 8 months) Active RN license (Compact or Maryland) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, TNCC Essential skills: Triage, IV Starts, Phlebotomy Preferred skills: Cerner charting, Charge nurse experience Previous charge and preceptor experience preferred Ability to care for all patient age groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Two supervisor references required 1-3 prior travel nurse assignments preferred ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care for urgent and emergent cases in the Emergency Department Perform triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy procedures Manage a patient load of 1:4 in a busy ED (average 150 visits/day) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including radiology, social services, and unit secretary Document patient care using Cerner EMR (preferred) Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required Mentor and train new staff as a preceptor (if applicable) Comply with all safety and infection control protocols, including COVID-19 precautions Brooklyn, Maryland is an ideal location for travel nurses seeking Maryland nursing jobs and professional growth in a welcoming healthcare community.
